Notes on Domicile

"Musti Chawl" - a Bengali phrase depicting holding back one fistful of rice before cooking a meal to constraint consumption and save excess for the future or for others. The principle of Musti Chawl is applied to qualities of living-- territory, safety, health, comfort and luxury-- and testing the bounds of necessity.

Notes on the Study is a culmination of photos and sounds connecting the research to architecture practice and existing urban environments that the American landscape doesn't always respond to. It ends with a final essay that serves as a conclusion to this artist research project.
